Sattva, rajas and tamas in a birth chart
Understand the three gunas, how PanditOne derives chart percentages, and why guna balance differs from nakshatra gana.

What are the three gunas?
In Indian philosophical traditions, sattva describes clarity and harmony, rajas activity and desire, and tamas inertia and obscuration. These are interacting qualities, not permanent labels for people. The Bhagavad Gita discusses them in chapter 14. A chart-based percentage is a modern interpretive model, not a percentage stated in that text.
How this chart calculates guna balance
Mystic Seeker displays the guna balance returned by PanditOne. The provider weights planetary prominence, including chart factors such as the ascendant, houses and current dasha. The result includes percentages, a model version and planetary evidence. Expand the evidence in your chart to see which factors contributed. Different models can produce different percentages from the same birth details.
Guna is different from gana
Guna balance compares sattva, rajas and tamas. Nakshatra gana is a separate traditional classification associated with the Moon's nakshatra, commonly called Deva, Manushya and Rakshasa. The chart presents these separately. Neither is a measure of someone's worth, moral character or compatibility on its own.
Use the result as a reflection prompt
Ask where greater clarity, purposeful activity or rest would be helpful in daily life. Avoid treating the leading guna as a diagnosis or fixed identity. Because this model uses time-sensitive chart factors, Mystic Seeker withholds guna percentages when the birth time is unknown.
